The Market Assistant will set up, operate and breakdown the market’s information center (The Oasis) and the market’s educational booth (The Greenhouse). The main responsibilities are to sell market tokens and merchandise, assist SNAP customers, answer customer inquiries, and work alongside Assistant Market Manager.
Market Ambassadors will proactively approach and greet customers, give market tours, conduct customer surveys, conduct weekly product sampling, answer customer questions, assist SNAP customers sign up for matching programs, and provide any other needed assistance. Ambassadors must be able to self-manage. Learned knowledge of the CFM membership, the organization and market values are necessary, and must be able to effectively and accurately communicate that information to customers.
Education
High school diploma or GED equivalent or greater. Must be 18 or older.
