Spicy Garlic Pickles

Cucumbers are a refreshing treat in the hot waves of summer! Cucumbers promote hydration and include many vitamins and minerals that are beneficial for us. Try this recipe for a summer snack or on top of your favorite burger!

Ingredients

  • 7-10 small pickling cucumbers

  • 4-6 cloves of garlic

  • 1-2 serrano peppers, sliced in half

  • 2 cups of water

  • 1 cup of white vinegar

  • 7-10 peppercorn kernels

  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1 bunch of fresh dill

instructions

  1. Slice cucumbers longways or into chips.
  2. In a small pot bring water and vinegar to a boil.

  3. Reduce heat once boiling, add in salt and sugar. Stir slowly until sugar and salt are dissolved.

  4. In a mason jar combine sliced cucumbers, garlic, dill, peppercorns and serrano peppers.

  5. Pour liquid mixture over ingredients, seal the mason jar with a lid and refrigerate.

  6. Let sit for 1-3 days in the fridge, then enjoy!
