Roasted Garlic Butter

Garlic elevates many dishes and this roasted garlic butter can be added to almost anything! My Grandma always said to eat garlic to stay well and she may have been onto something. Garlic has many antioxidant properties and contains allicin that inhibits the growth of fungi and bacteria.

Ingredients

  • 3-5 bulbs of garlic
  • 3-5 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Pinch of salt

Optional additions:

  • Chili flakes
  • Chives
  • Nasturtium

instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400′.
  2. Cut the top end of the garlic bulbs off.
  3. Soak bulbs in a bowl of water for 3-5 minutes, this will make it easier to peel the shells off the cloves.
  4. Peel off the shells and place cloves in a shallow pan.
  5. Cover cloves with olive oil and salt.
  6. Roast in the oven for 30 minutes or until caramelized.
  7. Top with additional items if you wish and enjoy on top of toasted sourdough, potatoes, steak and more!
