Quick Blackberry Jam BLT

Blackberries are naturally sweet and full of antioxidants to help your body ward off various diseases. Pair this beautiful fruit with savory items, like bacon, and enjoy an elevated dining experience!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound of cooked bacon
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup arugula
  • 4 pieces of sourdough, toasted
  • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise

Quick Jam:

  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1 cup water

  • 1/2 cup sugar

instructions

  1. In a small pot add water, blackberries and sugar.

  2. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 15-20 minutes, whisk occasionally until thick.

  3. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
  4. On toasted sourdough spread mayo evenly, add arugula, tomato slices, bacon and spoon blackberry jam over the top.
  5. Serve and enjoy!
