Mix together sugar, flour and pecans. In another bowl, beat eggs and softened butter until well mixed. Stir in the sugar, flour and pecans. Be sure to grease mini-muffin cups generously. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake in a 350-degree oven for 12-13 minutes. Cool for 3-5 minutes. Run a knife around the edges of the cups before removing muffins.
