Turn up for turnips!! Turnips belong in the same family as radishes, mustard greens and arugula so they have a sweet, peppery crunch to them. They also have great fiber and potassium. Try this recipe to highlight this wonderful root vegetable!
Cut up turnips into cubes and soak in an ice bath for 5 minutes. This will help give you crispy turnips! Set your oven to 400′ and heat your cast iron. Pat your turnips dry and toss in oil with a pinch of salt and pepper. Add turnips to the cast iron and cook for 7-10 minutes or until almost cripsy. Remove from the oven and drizzle with honey and sprinkle with chili flakes. Place back in the oven for an additional 1-2 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and green onions, then enjoy!
