Garlicky Green Beans

Garlic paired with green beans is a crowd favorite! Green beans are versatile and can be pickled, blanched, grilled, sautéed and more; adding fiber and folic acid to your meals. Try this quick, easy recipe for green beans and pair it with a grilled summer protein.

Ingredients

Green beans:

  • 2 cups of fresh green beans
  • 1 bulb of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Pinch of coarse salt

Optional toppings:

  • Chopped nuts
  • Honey

instructions

Green beans:

  1. Heat oven to 375’F.
  2. Cut bulb top off of the garlic, drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and salt.
  3. Cook garlic in the oven for 35 minutes or until caramelized.
  4. Heat a medium sized pan with olive oil until hot.
  5. Add green bean, roasted garlic cloves and cook for 2-3 minutes or until tender.
  6. Serve with optional toppings and enjoy!
