Strawberries are nature’s sweet treat and extra delicious when they’re in season and from your local farmer! Strawberries are rich in vitamin C and fiber. Try them in this wonderful dessert to cool you down during summer months and impress your friends!
Brownie Base:
1 stick unsalted butter
2 eggs
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1 1/3 cup of sugar
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
Pinch of salt
Toppings:
Cool whip
Powdered sugar
Strawberries
Melted dark chocolate for drizzle
Set oven to 325′.
Melt butter in a small bowl, then mix in sugar and cocoa powder.
Add one egg and whisk.
Add the vanilla, salt, whisk in the last egg.
Once mixed, slowly fold in flour.
Line a circle pan with tin foil and spray with oil.
Pour brownie mix into the pan and cook for 15-20 minutes (or until a toothpick comes out clean when put in the center of the brownie).
Let cool for 5 minutes on the counter, then put in the freezer for 15 minutes.
Add cool whip onto the frozen brownie, slice strawberries and arrange on top.
Drizzle with dark chocolate and freeze for another 10 minutes or until ready to serve.
Let sit out of the freezer for 5 minutes when ready, slice and enjoy!
