If you are a senior or WIC recipient receiving SFMNP or WIC-FMNP vouchers, you can spend your vouchers on fresh, local food at CFM.  If you live in Boone County, CFM will match your vouchers!

What?

  • WIC-FMNP stands for WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program
  • WIC-FMNP is a federally funded farmers market nutrition incentive program, managed by the Missouri Department of Agriculture, WIC-FMNP provides four benefit vouchers ($5 each), totaling $20 annually, per qualifying individual
  • Vouchers can be spent with authorized farmers on fresh fruits, vegetables, & herbs at Missouri farmers markets, including Columbia Farmers Market.
  • Vouchers will be issued through WIC departments until September 30th and can be redeemed at CFM through October 31st.

how?

  • If you are a Boone County resident, bring your vouchers and WIC card to the Oasis Booth at Columbia Farmers Market, located just inside the south entrance to the market.
  • Fill out a brief enrollment form for the Access to Healthy Food (AHF) Program to receive a one-time match for your vouchers (i.e., you will receive $20 in tokens per booklet of $20 vouchers you present). 
  • Speed up the registration process by completing this registration form in advance. Bring the completed form to the market staff at the Oasis booth and they'll finalize the enrollment.
  • You will receive an AHF Program card so you can come back and match WIC benefits at future markets. Find out more about how the AHF Program works here.
  • You may use your vouchers with authorized farmers.  All CFM vendors accept our tokens, though some items may not be eligible.  The matching tokens can be spent on any SNAP-eligible food item.
  • Non-Boone County residents may still spend their vouchers with CFM vendors but cannot receive the one-time match through the AHF program.
  • Vendors who accept the vouchers will have a sign displayed, which contains the "Missouri Grown" logo.  A sample of the sign can be found here.

  • SFMNP stands for Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program
  • SFMNP is a federally funded farmers market nutrition incentive program, managed by the Missouri Department of Agriculture. SFMNP provides benefit vouchers to low-income seniors 60 years of age and older. Eligible seniors receive 10 $5 vouchers, totaling $50 annually.
  • Vouchers can be spent with authorized farmers, on eligible items - fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs and honey - at Missouri farmers markets, including Columbia Farmers Market.
  • Vouchers will be issued through September 30th and can be redeemed at CFM through October 31st.

how?

  • If you are a Boone County resident, bring your vouchers to the Oasis Booth at Columbia Farmers Market, located just inside the south entrance to the market. If you are receiving SNAP benefits, bring your EBT card with you as well.
