More and more, our food system is becoming subjected to the forces of globalization, industrial agriculture, and distance between farm and table. As a result of this, it becomes increasingly important as consumers to know where our food comes from, and who produces it. Vendor of the week is a new program that we are doing at the Columbia Farmers’ Market to help customers get to know their local food producers a little bit better. Each week, stop by the sampling station at the Columbia Farmer’s Market to learn about our Vendor of the Week and to sample some of their product.
