Columbia Farmers Market is one of the most anticipated, recurring events for locals and newcomers alike in Columbia. Every Saturday throughout the year, the market hums to life and brings together farmers, artisans, and customers from all walks of life.

Since its first year in 1980, CFM has grown from a small, modest operation to a thriving, non-profit business in the community. Thanks to extensive fundraising and generous donations from our community, we now have a permanent home, the MU Health Care Pavilion, which sits within Columbia’s Agriculture Park, complete with an urban farm, greenhouse, and one-room schoolhouse for children. With such investment from the community, CFM’s customer base and reach continue to grow.

As a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, we rely on grants and membership fees as our funding source. To continue to provide the community with access to high-quality, locally-produced food, a vibrant community marketplace, and to keep market fees at a reasonable price for our producers, we need your support! Sponsorships from local businesses and donations from our community members will be used to help fund the market, rent, insurance, staffing, and the special programming we offer.

With 195,000 customers served in 2023, CFM is ideal for local businesses to connect with the community. As many of our customers come to engage, learn, and try new things, making your brand visible at CFM is an excellent way to market your business. Sponsorship candidates are evaluated individually to ensure no direct conflict with CFM’s mission. PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS

OASIS BOOTH SPONSOR: $15,000*

SPONSORSHIP FULFILLED

The Oasis booth assists food-insecure individuals and families, through our various healthy food Incentive Programs. Our Access to Healthy Food program matches up to $35 in SNAP & WIC purchases per market and up to an additional $25 per market for SNAP recipients through the Double Up Food Bucks Program. Through the Produce Prescription Program, specific local physicians write prescriptions for fruits and vegetables that can be redeemed with us and spent at the market. Our programs make it easier for low-income families to eat fresh nutritious foods, while supporting family farmers and growing local economies. Market staff also sell merchandise and cash-value tokens for customers to use in place of credit cards. The Oasis dispensed $155,849 in food incentive benefits in 2023.

MARKET AMBASSADORS' SPONSOR: $3,000

Market Ambassadors are friendly points of contact for our customers, answering questions, pointing out vendors, and providing information about market programming and upcoming events.

Good Food Detectives Club Sponsor: $2,000

This program encourages kids to adopt healthy eating habits by providing a weekly take-home activity that teaches them about healthy foods. Children are rewarded with 'Munch Money' for each activity completed, which they can then spend on fruits and veggies at the market!

FARM TO TABLE DINNER: $10,000*

The Farm to Table Dinner is an annual fundraiser for CFM, celebrating local food with over 100 attendees. Local restaurants, chefs, breweries, and businesses come together to celebrate local food, drink, and community. A sponsorship helps relieve the cost of putting on the event, and to be recognized leading up to, during, and after the event.

KIDS ACTIVITIES' SPONSOR: $6,500

The Kids Activities are a weekly interactive activity for kids hosted at the market. These activities introduce children to the importance of healthy eating, gardening, and sustainability.

Safety Sponsor: $1,000

We hire local security officers to have first responders on-site and to help keep our large crowds flowing smoothly in and out of the market.

MUSIC AT THE MARKET SPONSOR: $2,000

SPONSORSHIP FULFILLED

Music at the Market allows local musicians to share their talents with the community and provides a welcoming atmosphere during the market.

Cooking Demonstration's Sponsor: $4,000

Cooking Demonstrations provide a space for local chefs to demonstrate cooking techniques that utilize local ingredients from CFM vendors. These demos encourage CFM customers to try new items, promote local chefs, and support our vendors.
